  • The Hoover Dam was built to provide energy
  • The Hoover Dam is a dam built to control floods and help irrigation

SIZE

  • The hoover dam is as tall as a 44-60 story building
  • Also, the Hoover Dam is as long as two football fields

WHEN WAS IT BUILT?

  • Began being built in 1931
  • Was completed May 29, 1935

WHO BUILT IT?

  • Twenty-one thousand men worked on the Hoover Dam
  • Sadly ninety-six men out of twenty-one thousand died
