1903

  • 15 years ago when the wright brothers made their first plane
  • Other men started to get the idea of flying cars
  • There are over 80 patents for flying cars today

1917 CURTISS AUTOPLANE

  • Glen Curtiss is known as the father of the flying car
  • His three winged plane had a wing span of 40 feet
  • It never really flew but did make small hops

1946 AIRPHIBIAN

COULD FLY 120 MILES PER HOUR BUT NEVER GOT A RELIABLE FINANCE SOURCE

MODERN FLYING CARS

  • The car could get 20 mile per gallon
  • The car only costs only one million
  • In case of an accident the car releases airbags and a parachute

AREOCAR

  • Was designed to drive fly and drive without interruption
  • Ford was considering funding it but never did
