- Metaphysics- existence just exists
- Epistemology- Reason is the only way to obtain knowledge and determine our actions
- Politics- the rights of the individual are paramount. Laissez-fair capitalistic is the political center
- Ethics- reason/rationality, purpose/productivness, self esteem/pride
