Main Character

  • Jay Gatsby is the main character.
  • He lives for the money and parties.
  • Tries to get Daisy by become wealthy.
  • His wealth is made in a dishonest way.
  • He was actually born into a dirt poor German American Family.
  • He dropped out of college to become a Yachtsman

Jay vs. society

  • I think the conflict of this story comes from Jay trying to be rich just to impress people (especially: Daisy)
  • You can really see him in a way "battling" society

Prediction

  • I think that before the book ends Daisy will fall in love with Jay.
  • {I was told sadly} Jay gets killed at the end
  • Maybe at the end Jay is left poor with no money

Best

  • I really love romance novels and i think that "The Great Gatsby" has a different kind of love story.
  • I also love just how realistic it is!

worst

  • I think that Jay thinking he has to impress everyone kinda ruins it.
  • The fact that I know the ending ruined it for me but I don't think Gatsby should die.
