When Jonas was younger he was playing with his friend, Asher. They were tossing an apple back and forth and it started turning fuzzy and it was not Sameness.

Jonas went to The House of the Old for volunteer hours. He helped a woman clean and wash off in the bathing room and Fiona and Asher were there helping out, too.

Jonas' sister, Lily had her Ceremony of Eight and she got a jacket with small buttons, and even pockets to keep her belongings.

Jonas just got skipped during the Ceremony of Twelves and now he thinks he has done something wrong because he may not get assigned to a job.

The lady who was announcing the assignments said she did not make a mistake because she was going to call Jonas assignment at the end. He was assigned a very important job called The Receiver of Memory.
