• When the human ability was glorified
• Enlightenment means a time of illumination

Francis Bacon

• Francis was born in England in 1651
• He believed that science could free people from ignorance
• He also believed that science will allow them to live more free & comfortable lifes
• Francis inspired people to become scientist

René Decartes

• Published a book about reason & mathematics
• He believed that those were all that one really needed to discover points
• René was also a pioneer
• He created Analytic geometry

Isaac Newton

• Born in England in 1642
• the english war began in 1642-1649
• he helped René , and Francis

Francis & René

• Francis & René both published important books that inspired generations of scientist and scholars
• they are the fathers of the Enlightenment
