On May, 10th 1775, many people went to the State House of Philadelphia, now called Independence Hall. They gathered there to declare their independence from Great Britain.
The battles of Lexington and Concord happened on April, 19th 1775. The battle of Concord had marked the first time the Americans killed the British soldiers.
