THE COLONISTS FIGHT BACK

1770-1774

The Boston massacre (cause)
The colonists were angry
at the British soldiers so they started calling them names.

The Boston Massacre
(Effects)
The British thought they heard fire and fired at the crowed of teasing colonists.
Five colonists were dead or dying and several more were injured.

The Boston Tea Party
(Cause)
The colonists were angry at the British for the taxes that they had to pay on foreign tea. Tea was apart of their traditions.

The Boston Tea Party
(Effect)
The colonists snuck out on to one of the tea ships, dressed as natives and through all the tea over boarded.

The Intolerable Acts
(Cause)
The British parliament was angry at the colonists for all their protesting.

The Intolerable Acts
(Effect)
Parliament decided to punish the colonists by passing several harsh laws.
