PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Origins:
The Cold War started when an ideological conflict between communist and non communists after WW2 when the allies disagreed on how to govern occupied Germany. The Cold War got its name because there were no actual battles.
Economic differences:
The main difference is that the Soviet Union had a socialist economy where as the US has capitalism, which was another reason for the Cold War.
USSR reaction to policy of containment was the Soviet Union preparing nuclear weapons and having their finger on the button, telling the US to pull their troops back
The kitchen debate illustrated how each nation wanted the public to know what type of government they are. This makes the Soviets know their rival better and same goes to the US
