Fort Sumter, April 12, 1860

I looked out the window of the stair tower, keeping watch while I ate, I saw a huge ship in the distance, had Lincon sent more supplies? Wait a second, those weren't the blue uniform of a Union soldier, it was the gray of the confederates (the south)!

That day the confederates attacked Fort Sumter, they gunned the fort for 34 hours until the Union (the north) troops surrendered.

Bull Run, July 1861

The first shot caught us all of guard, the man next to me crumpled to the ground. I turned and saw people having picnics, treating this battle like a soccer game.

there was confusion all around nobody knew what to do. " Retreat", someone yelled. We all started to run, and there in our way was Thomas "no!"

That day the Rebs won, but 4,000 people were killed. Both sides became determined to win

The town of Gettysburg was close. " we've come this far, and we will go further" said General Lee. That was when they came. The Union came through the bushes. I took aim and shot a single bullet. The Union shot back, I clutched my arm and fell to the ground. I hope my bullet didn't hit anyone.

That day the Union won, and only a few weeks later Abraham Lincon wrote the Gettysburg Adress. Proclaiming that they needed to end this war.

To sum it up the Union won the war in the end and slavery was against the law and they became the United States of America!
