PRESENTATION OUTLINE

CYTOSKELETON

SUPPORTS AND SHAPES THE CELL
In this picture we chose bricks to represent to cytoskeleton. The reason for this being because a cytoskeleton supports and shapes the cell while the bricks of a castle support the castle and shape it.

NUCLEUS

PROTECTS AND STORES DNA
We chose this image of a castle for the nucleus because a castle protects whatever is inside just like the nucleus.

ENDOPLASMIC PARTICULUM

FORMS A MAZE OF ENCLOSED SPACES
We chose a hedge maze because the ER forms a maze of enclosed places in the cell while a hedge maze in a castle fits that description perfectly.

RIBOSOMES

FORMS PROTEINS BY LINKING AMINO ACIDS TOGETHER.
We chose a king to represent ribosomes because a king links people together.

GOLGI APPARATUS

TRANSPORTS PROTEINS
We chose the cart to represent the Golgi Apparatus because a cart transport supplies to other areas.

VESICLES

PROTECTS THE PROTEIN FOR STORAGE, TRANSPORT, AND SECRETION
We chose a knight and a king because a knight safely transports a king and the vesicles do the same to proteins.

MITOCHORDIA

GENERATES ENERGY FOR THE CELL
We chose fire to represent the mitochondria because fire back then was a source of energy and a mitochondria is a source of energy for the cell.

VACUOLE

STORES MATERIALS
We chose a storage house to represent a vacuole because a storage house is where all the townspeople stores their materials that are not needed which is exactly what the vacuole does to the cell.

LYSOSOMES

DEFEND THE CELL FROM INVADING VIRUSES OR BACTERIA
We chokes a cannon to represent the lysosomes because a cannon defends a castle for enemy invaders just like lysosomes protect the cell from bacteria and viruses.

CENTRIOLES

DIVIDE DNA BETWEEN TWO CELLS
We chose a rebellion/civil war to represent centrioles because a civil war divides people apart just like centrioles divide DNA during cell division.

CELL WALL

SUPPORTS AND PROTECTS THE INSIDE OF A CELL
We chose a castle wall to represent a cell wall because a castle wall shields the inside of the castle just like the cell wall which protects cells.

CHLOROPLASTS

MAKES SOLAR ENERGY INTO CHEMICAL ENERGY
We chose bread/carbs. to represent chloroplasts in a castle because carbs create energy and back then people grew a lot of bread.
