*Britain declares war on Germany for invading Belgium because Britain & Belgium had an agreement of protection
*then Italy, Japan and USA

These are the central and allied powers of WW1 before America joined the war.

THERE WHERE THREE MAIN REASONS AMERICA JOIND THE WAR

• Lusitania
• Zimmerman telegraph
• German submarine warfare

They believed that president Wilson could not keep America out of the war after they were trying to be a neutral and peaceful state. Then Wilson told congress to declare war on the central country's.

A reason that put America in the war was a telegraph from Germany to Mexico. Germany was trying to make a deal that said if you help us you get the land back that you lost to America.

The Lusitania was a cargo ship carrying goods to Britain and was hit by a torpedo from a German u ship (witch is a submarine.) it killed 12 children and 120 Americans.
