what was it ?

  • The Boston Tea Party was an act of rebellion .
  • The colonies were against the British Parliment .

Why did it happen ?

  • This was caused by the British placing taxes on America  
  • without the representation and opinions of the people .

What were the effects ?

  • Britain passed the Intolerable acts .
  • This was a punishment for destroying the tea and harbor .

What were the intolerable acts ?

  • The first act was the Boston Port act .
  • Another one was the Quartering act .
  • The next one was the Quebec act .
  • They also passed the Massachusetts gov act .
  • Finally the Administration of Justice act .

  • Because without it we probably might not have
  • " taxation without representation . "
