FIRST AMENDMENT

  • The freedom of speech
  • Press
  • Petition
  • Assembly
  • These are unalienable rights

SECOND AMENDMENT

  • The right to bare arms
  • This means that you have the right to keep fire arms in your household
  • Without getting in trouble
  • To protect ur family and belongings

THIRD AMENDMENT

  • No quartering troops
  • Don't have to house soldiers by forcewithout cunsolt of the owners
  • Especially during times of war

FOURTH AMENDMENT

  • No illegal search or seizure
  • Meaning the law cannot search your house or property without a warrant
  • If failed to provide a warrant you can take them to trial

FITH AMENDMENT

  • Right to jury without discrimination
  • Meaning always allowed a right to trial and judged
  • Not to be unfairly judged because of your race

SIXTH AMENDMENT

  • Right to a speedy trial
  • Meaning if you break a law and go to trial for it u don't have to sit in jail while they get it ready
  • Don't have to do unnecessary time

SEVENTH AMENDMENT

  • Trial by jury in civil cases
  • Deal with trials such as custody

EIGHTH AMENDMENT

  • No excessive bail or cruel unusual punishment
  • Therefore if a bail is set at a certain amount that you cannot add on to that amount
  • Also you cannot make a cruel unusual punishment like you can't go and chop someone's head off and leave them to hang

NINTH AMENDMENT

  • People retain rights
  • Unless you commit a crime all rights are granted

  • Cant change or take away these rights
