"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
This beatitude means to be humble with everything that you are blessed with. You shouldn't be arrogant or ungrateful and you will be rewarded with the kingdom of heaven.
#2 "Blessed are they who mourn,
For they will be comforted."
We think that this beatitude was based more for his close friends, so like don't mourn for me know, we will meet in heaven. Also for the truly sad and depressed, they may not like life on earth but they will be comforted in heaven.
#3 "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land."
This basically means that all people who relinquish their power to God on earth will inherit the land in heaven.
#4 "Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied."
This beatitude means that all the good people in this world that want to serve and help , will be satisfied for there good deeds in heaven.
#5 "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy."
This beatitude means that those who are kind will one day receive kindness in return. This beatitude is like that saying "treat people the way you would like to be treated."
#6"Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God."
This beatitude means to be that you have a pure heart and for that you will see God.
#7"Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."
This beatitude means that the people that try to bring peace to the world and they will be rewarded by being called the children of God.
#8"Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
This beatitude means that those who are persecuted for standing up for what is right and just is promised the kingdom of heaven.
