THE ANTS AND THE GRASSHOPPER

One summer day, the grasshopper was dancing and singing happily.
The ant was working hard and was carrying some food to the nest.

The grasshopper said, “Why are you working so hard? Let’s dance and sing.”
The ant replied, “I can’t sing and dance. I have to work. We need food for the winter.”

The grasshopper wasn’t worried. He said, “Come on. Let’s dance and sing and enjoy the summer!”
The ant said no. So, the grasshopper danced and sang, and the ant worked hard.

Then, winter came. The ants had plenty of food and ate well.
But the grasshopper had no food and died.

• Hard work is important.
• Always be prepared for the future.
