THE ANDY WARHOL THEME

THE ARTIST INSPIRED INTERIOR DESIGN

So what is the Andy Warhol theme? It is a combination of many factors, including bold shades, iconic individuals of pop culture, eccentric objects, recurring patterns and all things that contrast mainstream trends. Simply put, a decor style representing Warhol means individuality and quirkiness. Two artists that take advantage of this design are Ultrarender and Tracy Murdock Designs.

If you were to ask me, the ’80s were a great time period filled with life, beauty, and above all liberating creativity. There was nothing too obscure or too mundane. Everything blended well together. In the room above, the colors red, purple, electric yellow, neon green, pink and cyan do not overpower one another. This just goes to show that you don’t have to worry about mixing a wide range of colors in your decor, because with a little faith, everything will fall into place.

Andy Warhol was born Andrew Warhola on August 6, 1928, in a two-room row house apartment at 73 Orr Street in Pittsburgh. His parents, Carpatho-Rusyn immigrants Andrej and Julia Warhola, had three sons. Andy was their youngest.

Warhol was a prolific artist, producing numerous works through the 1970s and 1980s. His paintings, prints, photographs, and drawings from this period include: Mao, Ladies and Gentlemen, Skulls, Hammer and Sickles, Shadows, Guns, Knives, Crosses, Dollar Signs, Zeitgeist, and Camouflage. Warhol’s final two exhibitions were his series of Last Supper paintings, shown in Milan and his Sewn Photos (multiple prints of identical photos sewn together in a grid), exhibited in New York. Both shows opened in January 1987, one month before his death.

In 1999 Tracy married billionaire financier and developer David H. Murdock, whom she refers to as her design mentor. It was during this time that Tracy became exposed to interior design through her involvement with David in his many development projects; such as the multi million dollar development of homes in the exclusive enclave of Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California and the development of vacation homes on Murdock’s’ private Hawaiian Island of Lanai. It was here she began what she refers to as her "interior design enlightenment."

I'm a student. I'm studying for being an interior designer. So almost all the stuff you can see in my gallery is the result of my studying
In my free time I enjoy learning foreign languages (I wanna impove my French), listening to music, watching undubbed movies and drawing
