Have you ever wondered how the history and geography of the world is connected to my daily life? How does it affect it? And how important it really is?

Location

Absolute: Coordinates (Longitude and Latitude)
This means that GPS systems detect our absolute coordinates in degrees to determine our location. This means where we are physically in our world.

On the contrary, relative location deals with other places as forms of reference.

ex: "My house is right behind to Circle K on main St." or Niland is about two miles south from the Salton Sea"

When humans alter (change) their environment
Hoover Dam (President Hoover)
man-made to control the waters of the Colorado River.

River flows from Colorado to Arizona and across 5 other states.

It prevents water from flooding the imperial valley.

It creates electricity for Las Vegas with Hydroelectric generators.
