WHAT IT MEANS

  • It means that the national voting age is lowered from 21 years to 18.

WHY IT WAS CREATED

  • It was created because people argued that if 18 year olds had to go fight,
  • they should have the right to vote too.

WHAT IT MEANS TO ME

  • It means to me that 18 year olds are considered adults
  • and have the power to weigh in on the US's political affairs.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO ME?

  • It is important to me because it gives me the power to vote at a young age.
  • Also, if I ever get drafted I have the power to vote for who will be our leader.

HOW HAS IT MADE OUR SOCIETY A BETTER PLACE?

  • It made our country a better place because it lets a different age group
  • incorporate their ideas in the government.
