1. Theodore Roosevelt

26th President

Theodore Roosevelt was an extremely influential president for the United States. Claiming that he " I did not usurp power," but I did greatly broaden the use of executive power.", Roosevelt did exactly that.

After helping the United States win the Spanish American War, he quickly rise to the position of president after the assassination of McKinley. As a result, Theodore Roosevelt revolutionized the world and America with his policies.

Being a trust-buster, starting imperialism, and winning the Nobel-Peace prize,Roosevelt was an amazing president who's actions would change America's foreign policy forever that is still evident today

2. Andrew Jackson

King Andrew

Andrew Jackson was one of the most influential president. due to his treatment towards Native Americans and actions for the "common man", he create an era of democracy based on his political views

Destroying the bank, treating the American Indians inhumanely, and chaning the goals of the democratic party, Andrew Jackson created a long era of Jacksonian Democracy that influenced america greatly.

3. Henry Ford

The Great Industrialist

Establishing The Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford had a humongous impact on the U.S. economy. Not only did it marginalize the Railroad company but soon the company made it possible for every modern American Family to have a car.

Creating a company that completely change America's Society and to continue influencing it at modern times, Henry Ford is a great industrialist whose impact cannot be forgotten.

4. John D. Rockefeller

Wreck-a-Fellow

Co-founding the Standard Oil Company, Rockefeller dominated the oil industry and and created the first great U.S. business trust.

He was considered to be the richest man to have ever existed(adjusted for inflation) and controlled about 90% of U.S. oil refineries. Being one of the most powerful men in the Gilded Age, Rockefeller had great entrepreneur skills that expanded the power of the U.S. economy and lead it to be one of the leading producers of oil.

5. Andrew Carnegie

The Rich Philantropist

Andrew Carnegie was another great entrepreneur that created the steel industry and was extremely powerful. Due to his methods of producing steel, he was able to help expand the railroad industry immensely and that forever change America.

Being one of the most influential men during the Gilded Age, Carnegie did make the American economy extremely strong and powerful and due to this America was able to expand and become a world power.

6. Abraham Lincoln

The Emancipator

Fighting to preserve the Union, Lincoln went to the extremes to end slavery and threaten the state of what was left of the union to do so. However, due to his leadership skills during an arduous crisis such as this, Abraham Lincoln was able to conquer the south and forever change the United States with the Civil War.

7.Martin Luther King JR.

The dreamer

A civil rights activist and a Baptist Minister, MLK had a seismic impact on the United States' domestic policies. In addition, his letter for Birmingham Jail and his boycotts have forever been embedded in American History and Literature.

8. Franklin D. Roosevelt

The Sphinx

During the Great Depression, FDR came into power and introduced The New Deal. He focus on bringing recovery reform and relief to America. And although it was slowly successful, FDR policies greatly influenced America to have more liberal policies and to have a more open view towards socialism and more. However, due to WWII and the quick sudden death of FDR, he still received many critics from conservatives and liberals

9. J.P. Morgan

The Master of Finance

Creating a privating company so powerful that the government ask for its aid during the depression of 1895 and the financial crisis of 1907, J.P. Morgan was an extremely influntial man of his time that had great financial skills and help consolidate the railroad industry and create the U.S. Steel Corporation. Due to this J.P. Morgan aided in the closing of frontiers and the viewpoint on labor unions of the time period.

10. Woodrow Wilson

A leader of the progressive movement, Woodrow Wilson change many of America's foreign policy and wanted to spread democracy throughout the world and enter into World War One in order to support the message. Although he had some faults, and received some blame for the economic challenges that occur afterwards the war, he was very influential and should be highly regarded as a influential president for his amazing leadership skills.

11. Robert E. Lee

The Great General

Although he was a general for the confederate army, Robert E. Lee was the only reason why the south survived so long in the war against the union and the reason why most people are proud of their heritage. He even denied a position by Abraham and resigned from the army when his State seceded from the union and decided to join the Confederate and became a general.

12. Thomas Paine

"I'm no Thomas Paine, but you and me together is Common Sense"

With the influential pamphlet called "Common Sense", Paine made the list due to his great writing skills that helped cause the revolutionary war against the British. For this reason, Thomas Paine deserves a spot in the top 15. In addition, his writing is still highly regarded in American Literature and his atheistic views spurred interest in his life.

The Best Political Cartoonist

Due to his complex political cartoons, Thomas Nast was profoundly influential in the politics of America as he explain the issues of the U.S. through great cartoons that greatly influenced the political views of people.

14. Muhamad Ali

The Boxing Champ

Although not a political figure, Muhammad Ali was extremely influential in the culture of the united states. Not was he openly muslin, but he was proud of his black heritage and made boxing famous in american sports.

The King of Pop

Michael Jackson was considered the king of pop and was heavily influential in the culture of America. not only did he make pop music prevalent, but with his dancing skills and message of equality through "black and white", Michael Jackson helped spread equality in U.S. society
