• A final oral exam is required

Job responsibilities

• Generally, entry level textile chemist work 8-hour. 
• One responsibility you have is to make sure dyes on clothes are correct.
• A way to do that is to check water levels in the machines.
• No heavy lifting is necessary as a textile chemist.  
• But, you are surrounded by dangerous chemicals.

opportunities

• Many traditional jobs in dye factories have moved offshore.
• The best paying jobs could be found in Turkey and India.
• New textile research offers more challenging jobs.
• New materials being used also offer scientific occupations.
