Texas Roadhouse & Olive Garden

Restuarnt Review by abby anderson

1st Impression

  • Wait Staff: unkind and slow at both
  • Neither of my servers were very excited to serve me

Ambiance

  • OG: very nice summery feel, very clean, and open to the sun (lunch time)
  • TRH: greeted nicely upon entrance, theme of restuarant goes with menu, not crowded.

Menu

  • OG: lunch menu was smaller but did have a wide variety, slightly overpriced, smaller portions offered.
  • TRH: has something for everyone on the menu, prices seem reasonable

menu pt. 2

  • Both restuarnts had good descriptions of what the food was like and what was included with the meal
  • Both places offered bread before the main dish as well as other sides

customers

  • OG: Very short wait for food as bread sticks and soup/salad were brought to the table; delicious food
  • TRH: Average wait time as it was dinner time and the restaurant was full; food was also delicious

service

  • OG: server was very unfriendly and standoffish, not much knowledge, not a good server
  • TRH: server was very busy but got the food out in a timely manner, polite.

overall rating

  • OG: Adequate because our server was not good. The food was fantastic, but the server made out experience not so good.
  • TRH: Fabulous, good food and lots of it. Not a very long wait time, and salads and bread to eat while waiting.

in conclusion...

  • Both were great restaurants. the difference was our service. Thoroughly enjoyed the food at both restaurants.
  • Olive Garden is a good place to go for a date or a family dinner.
  • Texas Roadhouse is more of a place to go with some friends.
