  • The Texas State Capitol was completed in 1888.
  • The Texas State Capitol cost over $3,000,000.
  • The building is a pink color because of the “sunset red” granite used to build it.

THE DALLAS WORLD AQUARIUM

  • The Dallas World Aquarium first opened doors in 1992.
  • The Dallas World Aquarium was built in an old 1924 warehouse.

  • In the Edwards Plateau there are 191 different bird species.
  • The Edwards Plateau has 64 different mammal species living in it.

4 REASONS I CHOSE TEXAS

  • The first reason I chose Texas is because I did not know a lot about it and it’s history.
  • I also chose Texas because it is the second largest state.
  • The next reason I chose Texas is because it reminds me of ranching.
  • The last reason I chose Texas is because it has cool cities.
