PRESENTATION OUTLINE
HARDWARE
Hardware is all the physical components of a computer like the monitor, and all the other tangible machines.
INPUT DEVICES
Input devices are devices that insert data into a computer like CD-ROMs, scanners, and keyboards for example.
OUTPUT DEVICES
Output devices are devices used to transfer data out of a computer through sound, images, text, and other media. Examples would include printers, speakers, and headphones.
CPU
CPU stands for central processing unit and it is where a computer's calculations take place. It could be called the brains of the computer.
BITS
A bit is the smallest unit of information on a machine and it is short for binary digit.
BYTES
A byte is a unit of data made up of eight bits
STORAGE DEVICES
Storage devices are hardware objects that can store computer data like USB flash drives, CD-ROMs, and DVDs.
RAM
RAM or random access memory is a type of storage data that can be accessed in any order that is not predetermined.
ROM
ROM or read-only memory is computer memory that cannot change once data is on it, it can only be read.
THE FOUR COMPONENTS OF COMPUTER PROCESSING
Computer processing's four components are the CPU, the primary memory, input devices, and output devices. They all work together to run the computer.
