A TYPICAL DAY IN THE JOB OF A FLAVORIST-CHEMIST

Daily Job Uniform & Work Materials

  • Uniform consists of a standard doctorstyle labcoat, khakis or slacks, and leather shoes or boots.
  • Materials used in the job vary depending on the daily assignment. A flavor chemist would use a wide range of chemical substances, essential oils, botanical/plant extracts, glass beakers and tubes, siringes, protective rubber gloves, gogles (sometimes), and other forms of scientificic/chemistry technology including mixing machines and microscopes.

Lab Technology

  • Here is an example of some complex, sophisticated flavor chemistry technology. This is a substance mixer. It mixes chemicals and ingredientsso that the substances can blend perfectly and mix evenly.

ALMOST EVERY CANDY, FLAVORED BEVERAGE, FOOD SAUCES AND MANY SNACK FOODS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH...flavor chemists.

Education

  • Even though college is not required and you only need a High School diploma to get into this industry, going to college will give you afar better chance to get a secure job in this feild.
  • An individual must have taken chemistry classes in highschool and must have prior knowledge in the study of chemistry and biology
  • athematics are also used in this job when solving chemical equations (They are Challenging!)
