MATING

  • Consists of amplexus between a male and female frog
  • Can last for several days
  • Usually happens in water
  • Occasionally happens on land

EGG

  • Multiple eggs are laid
  • Eggs that die turn white or opaque
  • Life starts as the central yolk splits in two-four-eight etc.
  • Eggs hatch in 6-21days
  • Mostly found in calm or static waters

TADPOLE

  • Shortly after hatching, tadpoles feed on remaining yolk
  • They are really fragile at this point
  • They stick themselves to floating grasses using it's mouth or belly area
  • 7-10 days after hatching, it will swim around and eat algae
