WOODPECKER AND PINETREE

  • They have a parasitism relationship.
  • This is a relationship between two different organisms where the parasite harms the host.
  • They are found in wooded areas.
  • The woodpecker eats insects. The pinetree makes its own food.
  • The tree is shelter for woodpecker. But the woodpecker puts holes in the tree.

WREN AND OSPREY

  • They have a commensalism.
  • An association between two organisms in which one benefits but the other one is not harmed.
  • They are found in wooded areas
  • The osprey eat fish while the wren eats insects.
  • The osprey lets the wren live in its nest.

WHITE ROT FUNGUS AND AN OAK TREE

  • They have a parasitism relationship.
  • It is a relationship between two different organisms where the parasite harms the host.
  • They are found in forest and wooded areas
  • White rot fungus makes its own food and it eats the tree. The oaktree makes its own food.
  • The tree is a place for the fungus to live while the fungus eats the tree. And makes the oaktree rot.
