PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Suspension Bridge

Abiotic and Biotic Factors

  • In Italy, motor vehicle, factory, water and air pollution are caused by construction.
  • Soil in the particular area affects the construction and whether construction workers can build there.
  • When bridges are built over water the aquatic life there can be affected
  • Ex: Branzino (European Seabass)

Urbanization and Agriculture

  • Agriculture is growing products that are to be used by people.
  • Our suspension bridge can help tractors get to their farming location.
  • The bridge can also help crops be transported from one place to another.

Biodiversity

  • Biodiversity is the variety of different species and organisms throughout the world.
  • Decrease in biodiversity is most likely cause by the need for land, population growth, competition, etc.
  • Pollution negatively affects biodiversity as well, construction of the suspension bridge could cause pollution.

Human Impact on the Biosphere

  • Cars driving along the suspension bridge can let out carbon dioxide causing air pollution.
  • Greenhouse gases can result from cars as well and cause a rise in global warming.
  • People traveling could liter which causes a risk of pollution in the water which can kill organisms.
