THE SURREALISM PROJECT
WHAT WEIRD IMAGRY CAN YOU INVENT?
The first impression you get when you see surreal photography is “what the…” and then, of course, you observe the brilliant idea that’s behind it, the wonderful way of transforming into reality a person’s imagination. Knowing that these photographers have an incredible imagination, you can probably presume the result of their work. Brilliant at least. Today, we look at sample of the most biazarre and unreal photos ever made.

Surreal means the disorienting, hallucinatory quality of a dream. It is a very creative style of photography as you have to have a sense of vision and imagination to create things others wouldn’t normally see.

- INVENT A STORY!!!
- make it believable...
HOW DO YOU MAKE IT BELIEVABLE, YOU ASK?
- take all the photos using the same camera
- consider your light source (color and direction)
- make your 'objects' easy to layer mask
- think about the background, foreground, objects, space...
YOUR ASSIGNMENT...
- take a minimum of 10 images to use in your surreal project
- upload them to drive before you get to class on monday
- we'll talk about the rest next week, for now...
