Meg is a bright girl who is called stupid in her school. While her younger brother Charles Wallace who gets bullied everyday, has the ability to read peoples minds.
Mrs.Whatsit, Mrs.who and Mrs.Which all 3 women are odd in their own way. Each one of them has a divergent gift and they all use them for good, so they decide to help Meg, Charles Wallace and Calvin in their journey to their father.
It all started with Megs problems at school and her hard time to fit in the crowd. Along with her younger brother Charles Wallace who got bullied everyday. Every one says that her father ran away and they couldn't find him. Meg lived with her brother Charles Wallace, her mom and 2 younger twin brothers. One day, Meg, Charles and Calvin a boy from their school were walking and they discovered a haunted house in the middle of the woods. Inside that house lived Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs.Who and Mrs.Which and they all looked odd. The 3 women new about their father Mr.Murry, so the women decided to take them there through a teseract (a modern way of traveling into the future). As they arrived the 3 women explained that their father was trapped in something to fight the black thing and they had to help him so they agreed. Later on, they went to camezots the home of IT (evil thing/black thing).

Meg, Charles and Calvin then discovered that IT controlled their brains. Charles Wallace then got hypnotised by IT and IT started to control him. Meg then saw her father and rescued him from a glass box he was trapped in, but he couldn't hear her. Just when IT was about to control them all, Mr.Murry put them through a teseract to another planet. Then on the planet they met different creatures that made Meg learn how to defeat IT by herself. Meg later went back to Camazots and fought IT to bring back Charles Wallace, but she couldn't because he was too strong, so Meg then decided to fight him with a weapon he didn't have which is love. Finally when Meg defeated IT they all went back home with Mr.Murry.
