PRESENTATION OUTLINE

STUDENTS SHOULD GET PAID FOR GOOD GRADES.

BY ELIJAH SHORT.

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT THAT STUDENTS SHOULD GET PAID FOR GOOD GRADES

LIKE LETS SAY YOUR A PERFECT STUDENT AND YOU GET PERFECT GRADES.

BUT YOUR TIRED OF GETTING PERFECT GRADES AND NOT GETTING ANYTHING IN RETURN.

WELL MONEY IS A GREAT MOTIVATOR.

IT ALSO COULD HELP MINORITY AND UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN.

AND IT COULD HELP TEENS AND KIDS LEARN ABOUT FINANCES.

I THINK STUDENTS GETTING PAID FOR GOOD GRADES IS A GOOD IDEA,

IT GETS KIDS TO WORK HARDER.

KIDS SHOULD GET PAID FOR GOOD GRADES.

IT WOULD GET THEM TO WORK HARDER.

STUDIES HAVE SHOWN THAT PEOPLE WILL

WORK HARDER IF THERE GETTING SOMETHING OUT OF IT.

MONEY IS A GREAT MOTIVATOR WHEN YOU HAVE

SOMETHING YOU NEED OR WANT TO BUY.

PAYING STUDENTS FOR GOOD GRADES HAS RESEARCH PROVING THAT IT MOTIVATES

THEM TO WORK HARDER AND GET EVEN BETTER GRADES.

STUDENTS SHOULD GET PAID FOR GOOD GRADES,

IT WOULD GET THEM TO DO MORE THEN THEY CAN RIGHT NOW

PAYING STUDENTS FOR GOOD GRADES WOULD HELP MINORITY

AND UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN

IT IS WELL KNOWN THAT MANY MINORITY AND UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN HAVE A

HIGH DROPOUT RATE.

THIS IS USUALLY BECAUSE FAMILY NEEDS REQUIRE THEM TO JUMP IMMEDIATELY INTO A

JOB, NO MATTER HOW LITTLE THAT JOB MIGHT PAY.

THEY NO LONGER HAVE THE TIME AND ENERGY TO GO TO SCHOOL, AND THEY EITHER DROPOUT

WHEN THEY GET A JOB, OR EVENTUALLY WHEN THE DEMANDS OF THE JOB GET HARDER.

MINORITY AND UNDERPRIVILAGED CHILDREN WOULDN'T HAVE TO DROPOUT IF THEY GOT

PAID FOR GOOD GRADES.

HIGH SCHOOLERS ARE GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL WITH NO IDEA ABOUT FINANCES.

THERE ARE A GREAT AMOUNT OF STUDENTS LEAVING HIGH SCHOOL WITH NO IDEA

ABOUT FINANCES.

IF THEY REALLY WANT SOMETHING THEY ASK FOR IT AND SOMETIMES GET IT.

MUCH OF TODAYS CHILDREN BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN PRETTY MUCH GET WHATEVER

THEY WANT WITHOUT HAVING TO WORK FOR IT.

RECEIVING MONEY FOR GRADES SHOWS THEM THAT THEY ACTUALLY

HAVE TO WORK FOR SOMETHING

PAYING STUDENTS IS ONLY A SHORT TERM SOLUTION

FOR MANY STUDENTS, PAYING THEM FOR GOOD GRADES PROVES TO

BE ONLY A TEMPORARY SOLUTION TO ANOTHER PROBLEM.

DIFFERENT CHILDREN DO BETTER WITH BEING PAID

FOR GOOD GRADES THEN OTHERS.

A CHILD WHO ALREADY HAS A DESIRE TO LEARN

WILL CONTINUE TO LEARN EVEN IF MONEY IS NOT INVOLVED

A CHILD WITH NO DESIRE TO LEARN WILL WORK HARDER SIMPLY FOR THE CASH,

BUT EVEN THEN THE WORK MAY OUTWEIGH THE BENEFIT FOR THEM.

IN MY OPINION PAYING STUDENTS FOR GOOD GRADES IS A GOOD IDEA,

IT WOULD MAKE STUDENTS WANT TO WORK FOR SOMETHING THAT WOULD AFFECT THEM.

MONEY IS A GREAT MOTIVATOR IF YOU NEED OR WANT TO BUY SOMETHING.

ALSO GETTING PAID FOR GOOD GRADES COULD REALLY HELP MINORITY

AND UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN.

ALSO GETTING PAID FOR GOOD GRADES IS GREAT FOR LEARNING ANOUT FINANCES

TEENS ARE GRADUATING HIGH HIGH SCHOOL AND THEN THEY EXPECT

TO BE ABLE TO ASK FOR ANYTHING THEY WANT AND EXPECT TO GET IT.

I THINK GETTING PAID FOR GOOD GRADES IS A GREAT MOTIVATOR.

DO YOU THINK STUDENTS SHOULD BE PAID FOR GOOD GRADES?
