HEALTH PROBLEMS

  • Stress that's left unchecked can contribute to many health problems, such as, high blood pressure, heart disease, headaches, obesity & diabetes.

EMOTIONS

  • Chronic stress increases the stress hormone cortisol and affects many brain functions. Research shows that chronic stress can lead to exacerbate mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, bipolar disorders, cognitive (thinking) problems, personality changes, and problem behaviors. These are some of the emotional effects of stress that you could experience.

TAKE CONTROL OF STRESS

  • Get a good nights sleep
  • Try to relax
  • Don't procrastinate
  • Exercise
  • Keep a Positive attitude

MASLOWS HIERARCHY

  • Abraham Maslow used five terms to describe the patterns in human behavior one of the five is self actualization, which contributes to ones own self accomplishments. Some stress is positive it causes our bodies to release adrenaline, which helps us accomplish assignments and projects, and even enhance our performance and problem solving skills
  • It is important to distinguish between stressors that you can control and those that you cannot
