  • Guerrilla tactics

  • Fought in an orderly fashion, more disciplined
  • Went on crusades through the south to bring back democracy
  • Wanted to obtain forts and the loyalty of Bordering states
  • Sent spies on cargo trains that go through the south, new railroads built
  • Naval blockade of the confederate coast line. To weaken economy.
