The attacks on 9/11were caused by a terrist group called al-Qaeda. Their leader was later killed by US troops.

The twin towers were the tallest buildings in New York,and the south tower was 1362 feet high. The north tower stood at 1368-1730 feet high. Today the is a memorial of the towers with lights that shine up in the sky at night.
