TUNISIA/ARAB SPRING

  • Arab Spring: to rise against your government. A man 22 years old got a college degree, but in his country there were not enough jobs for him, so he worked a fruit stand. But his country said he couldn't have a fruit stand but when he continued to have one they beat him and destroyed his stand. Then he spoke to his government about this problem, they ignored him. It was not long after that the man lite himself on fire.

BASHAR AL ASSAD

  • Bashar al Assad became the dictator of Syria after his fathers passing. He is currently in a civil war and the people of Syria need help desperately.

3 CAUSES OF THE SYRIAN CIVIL WAR

  • #1, after WW1 the French and British put different religions together in Syria. This was unfortunate because they didn't like each other.
  • #2, Assad takes away many rights of the Serians.
  • #3, because Assad is a Aluwhite he favors everyone else who also is a Aluwhite.

WHO IS FIGHTING IN THE WAR?

  • First Assads Aluwhite army next
  • next, Free Sunni army or the rebels
  • lastly Al Qeada, Hezbollah terrorist and Isis.

WHAT ROLE DOES AMERICA PLAY? COMPLICATED?

  • America is helping giving weapons to the rebels but it has become complicated because we don't want our weapons to be given to Isis.

WHY DOES THE UN NOT STEP IN?

  • Because China and Russia are a big part of the UN but, they are allies of Assad. Russia are sending missiles at the rebels.

  • So many people in Syria are dying because of Assad because he is killing his citizens, also many families are dying because of no employment.
