Why should we stop water pollution???

Water pollution affects plants and organisms living in these bodies of water. Not only animals get effected from water pollution but us too. Many children from different countries die from disease that comes from the polluted water.

Plastic
Plastic is the number one trash that gets into the ocean and harms the living organisms. Many different creatures eat the plastic thinking its food. Those creatures die from choking, intestinal blockage, and starvation. Its believed to be responsible for deaths of more than 100,000 sea mammals, sea birds and various types of fishes.

Oil Spills
Cruise ships causing at least 35,000 gallons of water contamination due to oil spill.Huge oil spill was caused by BP in the year 2010. Over 1,000 animals i.e. birds, turtles, mammals have been reported dead and many of them were on the endangered species list. Of the animals affected by the spill that are still alive only about 6% have been reported cleaned, but many biologists and other scientists predict they will die too.

Storm Water
Storm water carries many trash and other harmful objects into the rivers, lakes, ponds, or into the ocean. Branches that are small enough to get carried by the water can be used to trap all the other trash that gets carried along with itself.

Sewage
Every year in the U.S 1.2 trillion gallons of sewage from household, industry and restaurants is dumped in to U.S. water annually. Two million tons of human waste is disposed in water everyday. Asia has maximum numbers of polluted rivers than anywhere else in the world. Most of it contains bacteria created from human waste.

Trash
Another from to pollute water is by throwing trash onto the ground because then when it rains that trash gets carried from the ground into the waterways that leads into smaller rivers or into the ocean. Once it's into the ocean animals confuse the trash with food and they eat it which can cause them many harm. Fourteen billion pounds of garbage are dumped into the ocean every year.

At least 320 million people in China do not have access to clean drinking water.Fourteen billion pounds of garbage mostly plastic, is dumped into the ocean every year.15 million children under the age of five die each year because of diseases caused by drinking water.

In one week, a typical cruise ship generates 795,900 litres of sewage, 3.8 million litres of 'grey water' from showers, sinks, dishwashers and washing machines.

We forget that the water cycle and the life cycle are one.

NO WATER,NO LIFE. NO BLUE,NO GREEN.

The ocean touches you every day. With every drop of water you drink,every breath you take, you are connected to the ocean.

In conclusion I want all the people to stop water pollution, not just because it harms animals but us too. Plastic,oil spills,sewage,trash, and storm water are some of the forms to pollute water.
