Beginning the Race

First the possible candidate will gain some popularity and visibility by actively participating in events.

Step 2:
Fundraising

Running for president is very costly, and many candidates drop out due to not having enough funds to continue. Raise some funds!

Step 3:
Primaries and Caucuses

The primary is when people of a specific party votes for their preferred candidate for the presidential nomination. A caucus is a closed meeting between party delegates to select their nomination.

Step 4:
National conventions

The national convention is where a party officially announces their Presidential and Vice- Presidential nomination. They also state their platform.

Step 5:
Debates

After conventions the candidate focuses on their plan and outlining what they plan for the future. It is a good way to camp are and contrast both of their ideas.

Election Day
