PRESENTATION OUTLINE
St.Olga was the princess, and Queen of Kiev, a predominantly pagan kingdom in Russia or modern day Ukraine.
After Olga married, her husband was murdered by Drevlians, they wanted to enlarge their kingdom, and the Queen of Keiv would be the way go.
As a result, the Dervlians sent 20 of their best men to persuade the Queen but upon arrival. She buried them alive. When they sent the rest of their men she locked them in a bathhouse and burned them alive.
To her, Jesus was a savior, a role model or a person of guidance. After converting she acted as if he was watching, and telling her what to do, the right thing to do.
By believing in God she flushed the demon inside of her. She was now able to see clearly and act accordingly to God
To her, overcoming obstacles was a feat well accepted. Priests refused to come to her kingdom, so she built a church. Citizens refused to convert, so she kept persisting.
She was constantly ridiculed, and looked down on because of her faith. But still kept faithful, and convinced that Christianity was right.
By overcoming pain and adversity, she created a strong faith base for, eventually her kingdom and herself. This challenges me to become a stronger christian.
In conclusion, St Olga was an inspirational figure in the Catholic religion for her perseverance and determination and therefore is my person of faith.
