William had a very stressful life,
He was diagnosed with tuberculosis only a few years after marriage
Due to his condition he passed away leaving Elizabeth
Responsible for 5 children on her own
It was beyond difficult for elizabeth but she never gave up.

St.Elizabeth took vows:
She vowed poverty
Chastity,and obediance among the church
She pronounced her vows before Bishop John Carrol of Baltimore.
Elizabeth was given land in Emmitsburg, Maryland

She recieved the sanction of the highest authority

Elizabeth Ann Seton died of tuberculosis along with everyone in her family
From the minute she was diagnosed she began the prayers for the dying herself
Also to one of the sisters she prayed the Gloria and the Magnificant in French.
