How Do I start the process?

  • If on the fence take the online SST survey (not mandatory)
  • Email your grade level leader that you will need time to discuss a grade level SST.
  • Gather the data and prefill thise portions of the grade level SST that ask for data and simple student demographic info
  • The grade level SST should be spent discussing startegies and not waiting for teachers to look up data

The Process Continued

  • Hold the meeting (if student data has not been gathered postpone until the next meeting, also parents may be invited to the meeting if the teacher and team feel it necessary and appropriate)
  • After completing the meeting email a copy of the SST to the grade level leader, teacher and Assistant Principal
  • Send a copy home for the parent
  • Set up a follow up date for. 6 to 8 weeks from the date of the meeting

The Process Cont.

  • Teachers are responsible for reminding the team of the follow up date
  • Hold follow up with team (you may invite parents too if necessary)
  • If strategies were not sufficient complete follow up and submit form to AP for scheduling for a schoolwide SST
  • If strategies have worked add new strategies, email copies to teacher, grade level leader and AP

SST Forms

  • SST survey is available on Google Docs (will be shared before 1st day of school)
  • Grade level initial and follow up forms are available on Google Docs and L: drive
  • You must download forms to your computer to write in them (let's do that now)
  • Do not save completed SSTs to the L: drive as student information is confidential

Flow Chart

  • There is a flow chart that explains the process step by step that will be saved to the L: drive and is available in Google Docs.
  • For any additional questions you can always email kschieldge@psusd.us
