Opening Question
Why does the sun turn red when it rises and sets?

The First fact

  • The intensity of light varies inversely as the fourth power of its wavelength. Sunlight consists of 7 colours of these red has the maximum wavelength

The Second fact
During a sunrise and sunset light has to travel the farthest then during the other parts of the day when it doesn't.

The third fact
The sunlight that we see in the sky is a type of electromagnetic light that makes a wavelength.


The Fourth Fact

  • Light from the sun is made up of all the colours in the rainbow. As the sun enters the earth's atmoshpere the short wavelength causing the sky to be blue during the day.

The fifth fact
Different colours associate with different wavelengths depending on what happens to the light before it got to you some of those wavelengths don't even reach your eyes.
