Space exploration has provided a lot of new products in our daily lives. We have more advanced technologies such as camera phones, CAT scans, and LED lights.
The Apollo program was reported to cost $25 billion. Some argue that we spend too much on space exploration despite all the positive outcome and products we get from exploring our universe.
President JFK was very in favor of space exploration and since he was such a well liked president, many joined the initial movement towards space.
The Space Race between the United States and Russia is what initially drove our country into space exploration. We were focused on being such a powerful global superpower that we didn't predict what a huge program it would turn into.
