• Royal means that the monarch is appointed governor

• Charleston South Carolina is a major city
• The western colonies were mountainous
• There were many plains in the east

• Southern Colonies enjoy hot summers and mild winters

POPULATION

• They came from Britain.
• Georgia was founded to find a refuge for the poor
• Carolina was founded because a farmer from virginia was searching for farmland
• Virginia- king james 1 was eager to start a permanent english settlement

ECONOMY

• the Economy Is Almost intirely farming because of the extremely fertile soil.
• Large plantations had slaves that grew most of the crops
• Rice, tobacco, sugarcane, and cotton were cash crops.

NATURAL RESOURCES

• The soil was perfect for farming.
