AMAZON RAINFOREST

  • It's located in the north
  • The borders it runs through are: Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.

CLIMATE AND VEGETATION

  • The climate is hot and wet
  • There are many types of trees like mahogany,Brazil nut tree,kapok,murumuru palms

RANDOM FACTS

  • coffee, chocolate, rice, tomatoes, potatoes, bananas, black pepper, pineapples and corn came from the rainforest originally
  • Less than 1% of sunlight makes it through the tree tops
  • There are around 3000 fruits in the rainforest

THE ATACAMA DESERT

  • It's located on the west in chile
  • It spreads a little into Argentina,Peru, and Bolivia

CLIMATE AND VEGETATION

  • The climate is VERY dry
  • The vegetation includes cacti,perennials, and mesquite

RANDOM FACTS

  • It's the driest place on Earth
  • It's 50 times drier than Death Valley

THE ANDE MOUNTAINS

  • It's on the west side of South America
  • It runs through Peru,Columbia,Bolivia, Argentina,Venezuela,Chile

  • Near the equator the temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit and in the south it's 40 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Tierra Caliente has rainforests, and Tierra Templada has deciduous trees
