Andes Mountains

It is located on the Southern edge of South America. It runs through 7 countries; Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Trinidad, and Venezuela.

The climate varies from tropical rain forest to just a few miles away, a frosted peek. It has over 8,200 vegetables and species.

FACTS

  • The highest peak is 22,841 feet high.
  • One of the most popular natural wonders of South America.

PAMPAS

It is found in Argentina and extends into Uruguay.

The countries included are Argentina and Uruguay.

The climate is mild with warm summers and chilly winters. The vegetation usually includes perennial grasses and herbs.

PATAGONIA

It is around the cone of South America. In chile it is south of Puerto Montt, in Argentina it begins south of the Colorado river.

Countries include Argentina and Chile.

Patagonia is influenced by the South Pacific westerly air current. It brings humid winds,as they blow over the west coast of South America and over the andes, the become dry once they reach Patagonia.

The vegetation consists of semi-arid grass and shrub steppes.
