SONS OF LIBERTY

  • The Sons Of Liberty was an organization of American Colonists that was created in the 13 American colonies. The secret society was formed to protect the rights of colonists and fight taxation by the British Government. They played a major role in battling the Stamp Act.

DAUGHTERS OF LIBERTY

  • The Daughters of Liberty were a successful colonial group, established in the year of 1765, that consisted of women who deplaned their loyalty by participating in boycotts of British goods following the passage of the Townshen acts.

SONS OF LIBERTY LEADERS

  • Samuel Adams- political writer
  • John Adams-lawyer
  • Benedict Arnold- businessman

DAUGHTERS OF LIBERTY LEADERS

  • Mercy Otis Warren was the leader of the Daughters Of Liberty
  • Martha Washington wife of George Washington was associated with the daughters of liberty.
