Opposite operations that undo each other

Having the same value.

Two equations that have the same solution
5=5 is an equivalent equation

ADDITION PROPERTY OF EQUALITY

Adding the same number to both sides of an equation makes an Equivalent Equation

SUBTRACTION PROPERTY OF EQUALITY

Subtracting the same number to each side of an equation makes an equivalent equation
