• After David dies Solomon becomes king

• David anoints Solomon king

SOLOMON PRAYS TO GOD FOR WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE.

• God gives him wisdom and knowledge.
• He also gave him gifts he didn't ask for.
• GOD gives Solomon riches.
• GOD also gives Solomon honor.
• God gave Solomon those gifts so that no other king will compare to him all of his days.

SOLOMON WAS THE SON OF KING DAVID AND BATHSHEBA.

• David promised Bathsheba that Solomon would be the next king
• Solomon was not the oldest son of David

SOLOMONS MOST FAMOUS JUDGEMENT

• Two women had a baby whom both claimed as their own.
• Solomon threatened to split the baby in half.
• One woman begged the King to give the live baby to the other woman.
• the other woman accepted to have the baby cut in half.
• Solomon knew the first woman was the mother,he said"give the baby to her."

SOLOMON'S TEMPLE

• he used slave labor from the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
• He spent 13 years building his own palace.
• built a city wall, a citadel called the Millo, a palace for the daughter of Pharaoh.
• He extended Jerusalem to the north and fortified cities near the mountains of Judah and Jerusalem.

SOLOMON'S FALL

• Solomon’s downfall came in his old age.
• He had taken many foreign wives, whom he allowed to worship other gods.
• He married people who GOD said not to marry.

SOLOMON DIES

• Solomon died in Jerusalem after 40 years as ruler of Israel.
• He slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David his father.
