Social workers help everyday people cope with their crises and day to day struggles.

The average income for social workers is 44,200 a year or 21.25 an hour.

Though a degree in social work gains you access to many jobs, many of the better positions require a masters. Their is rarely promotions in social work. Your qualifications define what position you get

The nature of the work is stressful and heartrending. However it isn't physically demanding.

In 2012 their were 600,000 jobs in social work and it was expected to grow by 19%. This doesn't include related careers like psychologists or psychiatrists.

PERSONAL ADVANTAGES

  • You feel like your truly hepling people
  • No physical demands
  • Can do multiple jobs with the degrees

PERSONAL DISADVANTAGES

  • Can weigh on you emotions
  • Might have to work weekends
  • Lots of reports and paper work

This job is a good fit because it is something that I would enjoy doing and could be content with doing for the majority of my life

Take classes like psychology or sociology and plan ahead to see what colleges to go to
