• The maison carrée is a Roman building that is located in Nîmes, France
• Maison carrée means “square house”
• Was built in 2 AD

BUILDINGS TODAY

• Roman buildings influenced many buildings
• Roman architecture started it all, it was the most advanced in its time
• Many building today use the columns they have created
